Lyon has also been awarded the “Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030” label among the 100 European cities and metropolises to pursue ambitious goals to slash emissions rapidly and pioneer innovative approaches with citizens and stakeholders. In its application, the City highlighted the main thrusts of its policy to support ecological transition in terms of social justice, its ambitions in terms of sustainable mobility, rail and river transport, and the driving forces behind public purchasing.
