Cities play a key role in creating and supporting the right conditions that lead to more and better jobs. Cities are also the best placed to make the match between the demand for new skills between people needing jobs and the sectors in requiring labour. The COVID-19 crisis is an opportunity to re-think how to invest more in skills training to benefit employers and potential employees: re-skilling, up-skilling, adult training, and making access to online skills training available to everyone.
