We drive forward the transition to a green and just future, a future that is resilient to climate change and actively restores nature and biodiversity, that has the health and wellbeing of people and the planet at its centre, and that continues engage with the latest science and technology. We accelerate the transition by exchanging on city practices for retrofitting buildings, addressing energy poverty, the roll out of renewable energy, and creative strategies for changing behaviour. We encourage adaptation to the effects of climate change, including through nature-based solutions like tree planting, and we open up ways to finance the green and just transition in cities while expanding our work on the EU Mission for 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030. Our efforts will continue towards a zero-pollution environment for the health and wellbeing of residents, with circular and resource-efficient cities remaining at the heart of the green transition.
