The European Heritage Hub’s Local Good Practices Catalogue is a comprehensive resource showcasing how cities and regions across Europe are using heritage to drive green, digital and social transformation. Developed within the EU-funded European Heritage Hub project, the catalogue compiles a series of detailed factsheets designed to support local authorities, heritage professionals and communities in developing transferable and impact-driven approaches.
Moving beyond a simple collection of examples, the catalogue provides an actionable toolkit that unpacks the methodologies, governance models and measurable results behind each practice. It highlights the diversity of urban heritage initiatives across Europe, offering practical insights into how heritage, both tangible and intangible, can be mobilised to address contemporary urban challenges in a structured and replicable way.
As part of the broader activities of the European Heritage Hub, this publication also feeds into capacity-building and peer-learning efforts, helping cities exchange knowledge and adapt proven solutions to their local contexts. It positions heritage as a dynamic resource for innovation, collaboration and sustainable urban development across Europe.
