The Participatory Approaches for Cities in Transition project, or PACT, aims to support European cities to build trust in climate action by putting citizens at the heart of policy-making.
Eurocities and the E.ON Foundation, with the expert support of Coglobal, will deliver this project in three cities – Alba Iulia, Athens and Bristol – over a period of just under two years.
The project will support each city to design and deliver a complete participatory process, tailored to local needs and contexts, in a way which can effectively increase trust in climate action.
At the same time, it will build the capacity of both city officials and political leaders to manage conflict through both citizen engagement and communication approaches.
At its core, this project is about learning through doing. At its conclusion, this learning will be shared so that cities across Europe can build on what has worked and adapt it to their own contexts.
