15 March 2021

Eurocities, the network of European cities, welcomes the German city Bochum and the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria in Italy (image) as new members. The applications of the cities have been approved by Eurocities’ Executive Committee on Monday.

The Spanish city Rubí and the Italian city Treviso are joining as partner cities.

Grand Paris Sud and Saint Nazaire, France, Lahti, Finland, Logrono, Spain, and Stavanger, Norway, extend their existing cooperation as associated partners.

Anna Lisa Boni, secretary general of Eurocities, welcomed the new members and partners: “It’s great to see our community of cities growing. City-to-city collaboration is more important than ever and the voice of cities needs to be heard even louder in Europe. I am looking forward to working with all our new members and partners.”

Eurocities has now 198 cities in the network.
