Digital transformation for sustainable cities

European cities have long been leading the way on digital transformation. Cities have been benefitting from the power of digital technologies in several application areas, from the management of traffic flows and air quality to the streamlining of administrative processes, from the creation of digital twins to AI-powered assistants. Often supported by EU funding, local administrations have been at the forefront of piloting and upscaling innovative solutions to make the twin transition a reality on the ground.
