Mobility

Focusing on mobility, we are prioritising the design of safe, climate-resilient, and inclusive streets and spaces entails creating urban environments that prioritise the well-being, accessibility, and sustainability. At the same time, we are mainstreaming zero-emission mobility in cities which involves making electric and active mobility the norm rather than the exception. This includes widespread adoption of efficient and climate-neutral public transport systems, electric vehicles, and infrastructure that supports zero-emission active modes like cycling and walking. Guiding urban mobility innovation for cities is also of major importance and involves strategically leveraging both technological and creative solutions to enhance transport systems. Our mobility working area also includes efforts for strengthening sustainable connections between cities as well as encouraging a transition from individual to more sustainable modes of transport.
