Shape EU is implementing the Renovation Wave’s ‘Affordable Housing Initiative’, one of the lead actions of the EU’s strategy to double the renovation rate by 2030.
Recognising cities as critical actors in sustainable urban development, Shape EU is building the capacity of local stakeholders to deliver the first 20 lighthouse districts of the 100 envisaged by the Affordable Housing Initiative.
Lighthouse districts are projects involving renovating social and affordable housing that must remain affordable after improvement and ‘going the extra mile’ using technologies, people-centred business models, and experimenting with co-creation and engagement practices.
