GO SUMP will improve Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP) and measures in the Mediterranean area.
Drawing on a wide community, GO SUMP will analyse the progress of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) implementation in the Mediterranean area and draw conclusions from successes and challenges. It will collect results based on their quality and on their transferability, it will identify gaps in the implementation of SUMPs, and it will share good practices within the community.
The strength of GO SUMP lays in its transnational character, making it possible for local authorities facing similar challenges to exchange solutions regardless of their national boundaries, therefore advancing together towards systematically integrating sustainable urban mobility measures in the Mediterranean area.
GO SUMP is an Interreg Med project. The Interreg Med programme gathers 13 European countries from the Northern shore of the Mediterranean working together for a sustainable growth in the region. The transnational setup allows them to tackle challenges beyond national borders, such as the rise of low carbon economy, the protection of natural and cultural resources and the strengthening of innovation.
