HR & Administrative trainee

We are recruiting an administrative assistant for our HR team. The candidate would start, ideally in January.

Responsibilities

As trainee, you will work with the HR team and assist the Head of HR and HR officer on a daily basis. In this role, you will:

  • Communicate internally on HR processes, well-being campaigns, new colleagues joining
  • Contact candidates during the recruitment process and collect documents
  • Support the organisation of on-line and in-person staff meetings
  • Provide administrative tasks such as updating documents and databases, keeping records
  • Creating visual supports on Canva
  • Connecting with colleagues and organising activities for team cohesion

Profile

You love connecting with people and are a good listener, you are proactive, enthusiastic and flexible.

You have:

  • a Master degree in human resources or communications
  • good command of Office 365 and experience with Microsoft Teams
  • excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Other languages are an asset
  • experience or understanding of HR policies
  • excellent organisational skills
  • experience with organising events
  • graphic design skills and you are creative
  • problem-solving approach
  • good interpersonal skills for an international environment

You are:

  • a dynamic team player
  • agile and have the ability to multitask
  • attentive to detail

We offer

  • a six-month traineeship contract, starting in January 2024, renewable for another 6 months with the possibility of an open-ended contract after 1 year
  • a full-time position that will be carried out at Eurocities office in Brussels;
  • a remuneration of approximately €1,000 per month.

Important: Eurocities will provide you with a Belgian trainee contract (CIP “convention d’immersion professionnelle”). Due to the CIP requirements and conditions, the selected candidate will need to either live in Belgium or be willing to move to Belgium for the duration of the contract (candidates need to provide a Belgian address).
