Where: Meeting of the Urban Intergroup in the European Parliament, Room ASP 3E2
When: 10 October, 09:00 – 11:00
Ahead of the European elections in June 2024, it is crucial to prioritise the agenda of cities and strengthen collaboration between cities and the EU.
This is why Eurocities and the Urban Intergroup of the European Parliament are organising the ‘Mayors’ Agenda for Cities and the EU’ event on 10 October, for city representatives and MEPs to discuss their priorities, challenges and opportunities to work together.
Confirmed participants include Dario Nardella, Mayor of Florence, Ricardo Rio, Mayor of Braga, and Anna Lisa Boni, Deputy Mayor of Bologna.
Also participating will be MEP Jan Olbrycht, MEP Marcos Ros Sempere, MEP Ciarán Cuffe, and Ans Persons, the Secretary of State of Brussels Capital Région.
The event will present the results of the Eurocities Pulse Mayors Survey, which provides a comprehensive overview of the priorities and concerns of European mayors.
It will also offer the opportunity to discuss Eurocities’ policy paper on how the EU can work better with cities, outlining key recommendations to enhance the partnership between cities and the EU.
The event will take place in the European Parliament on Tuesday 10 October, from 09:00 – 11:00, in Room ASP 3E2.
