In September 2019, Nantes became the European Capital of Innovation, thanks to its active commitment to civic dialogue and the dynamism of its ecosystem in terms of social, inclusive, cultural and digital entrepreneurship.
The COVID-19 crisis has reinforced our conviction that innovation is driven by collective intelligence and that the future must be built by and for citizens. Above all, innovation delivers tangible solutions to various local challenges, which are sometimes unforeseen. Innovation must help us build stronger and more resilient cities.
On 8 and 9 October, Nantes Métropole is inviting its European partners and local stakeholders to come and explore various ideas and possibilities for future models of shared governance and civic innovation.
