Eurocities will be part of the World Urban Forum, the leading global conference on sustainable urbanisation that will take place in Katowice on 26-30 June.
The United Nations created the event in 2001 to examine one of the most pressing international issues: rapid urbanisation and its impact on communities, economies, climate change, and policies.
Representatives from national, regional and local governments, academics, businesspeople, community leaders, urban planners and civil society representatives will be among the thousands of participants expected to attend this year’s gathering.
The event is co-organized by Poland’s Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, together with the Municipal Office of Katowice.
