Eurocities is looking for an external evaluator of impact and methodology for its CONNECTION project, funded by the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund. The main objective is to assess the impact and methodology of the project.

Led by Eurocities, the network of major cities in Europe, CONNECTION – CONNEcting Cities Towards Integration actiON – promotes transnational learning on and implementation of local integration policies.
Cities1 taking part in this project exchange best practices and develop practical guides (‘How-to guide’) for a wider audience on four themes/communities of practice (hereinafter ‘CoP’):
CoP 1. How to develop a strategic approach to integration, participation and interaction?
CoP 2. How to build a gender dimension into integration policies?
CoP 3. How to build pathways to employment for migrant?
CoP 4. How to design one-stop-shops as an integrated response to integration needs?
In addition, seven participating2 cities which are less experienced in integration are developing action plans with the support of the other cities, receiving grants and technical assistance to implement a new integration scheme in their own context.
Task 1 – to assess to what extent CONNECTION achieved the objectives and impacts defined in Annex I of this call.
Task 2 – to assess the effectiveness of the mutual learning methodology implemented under CONNECTION and distil the lessons from this (see Annex I).
Task 3 – to draw up recommendations on how to continue and where necessary adapt the project’s approach to knowledge transfer. The recommendations will inform the technical proposal for a permanent mechanism for peer-to-peer technical assistance.
