This is a joint working group within both our culture and economic development forums to support the contribution of the local cultural and creative economy in cities
The creation of this working group follows a joint culture and economic development forum meeting which took place in Nantes in March 2007 on 'supporting the contribution of the local cultural and creative economy in delivering the Lisbon objectives'.
promoting cross-fertilisation of ideas, projects and public policies related to cultural and creative industries and sharing best practices targeting in particular measures to support and promote new forms of access to financial resources, to business support and to appropriate training
collaborating with the European Commission on the collection of data and especially helping to develop relevant indicators
drafting a policy paper on cities’ recommendations for EU policies on the development of the creative industries
showcasing the benefits and contributions of the creative sector to city attractiveness and economic and social development
