The WeGO Smart Sustainable City Awards recognises and promotes outstanding ICT,
smart city, and e-Government practices of cities and local governments from all
over the world, WeGO and non-WeGO members alike.
The awards were established in 2011 to recognise and promote outstanding ICT, e-Government, and smart city innovations of cities and local governments around the world. Through this regular international competition, the WeGO Smart Sustainable City Awards aims to encourage the incorporation of innovative ICT for the enhancement of administrative efficiency; increase citizens’ access to public services; and actively share knowledge on smart city strategies.
The awards are open to all cities and local governments around the world, WeGO members
and non-members alike.
The WeGO Smart Sustainable City Awards are given in the following six categories: open city, digital inclusion, innovative smart city, sustainable city, e-Government service, cooperative city.
