Nabil ( 19 years old) presenting his business idea on local fruit and vegetable distribution in Milan. Originally from Algeria. He has already been working in the fruit&veg distribution sector with his father.

The European project YEP Young Enterprise Program was concluded in October 2018, delivering substantial and remarkable results.

The project was aimed at promoting new practices to support youth entrepreneurship, specifically for those young people with fewer opportunities, and was implemented in the cities of Milan, Madrid and Lisbon.

The initiative offered 80 aspiring young entrepreneurs coming from disadvantaged backgrounds (NEETs, migrants, from the city's outlying areas, with low educational attainment, etc.)  the opportunity to attend specific training on how to start a business, followed by an incubation stage for the best youth business ideas.

This project benefited  from a private-public partnership made up of local authorities, non - profit organizations and business support organizations, who have shared experiences and skills at both local and European level and have developed support materials for operators in the education area, and entrepreneurship programmes for young people, with an emphasis on those with fewer opportunities.
