  • knowledge society

From 25-27 September, Stavanger in Norway will host Nordic Edge Expo 2018, whose theme is ’smart with a heart’. As EUROCITIES is now an official co-organiser, members can save 50% on the cost of entry - and 20% on exhibition space.

Nordic Edge, the largest smart city event in the Nordics, has been running for three years. It attracted over 4,500 visitors and more than 300 speakers and exhibitors in 2017 and September's event is set to welcome even more professionals and experts. It's a great opportunity to exchange insights, learn from each other and share best practices with the public.

Focusing on putting the heart into smart, the Expo will explore how to put citizens' interests first in the creation of smarter cities. Anna Lisa Boni, secretary general, EUROCITIES, will lead a special, restricted access, session on this concept for mayors and politicians ahead of the official conference opening.

We are organising a replication workshop as a side session to the 'Meet the new lighthouse cities' event on 25 September. Moderated by the Sharing Cities communication & replication lead, the workshop is open to all city experts.

Sharing Cities and other Lighthouse projects will also be represented as part of a day of activities dedicated to Horizon 2020 Smart Cities and Communities (SCC) projects on 27 September. Nathan Pierce, programme director for Sharing Cities at the Greater London Authority, will be on the panel discussing lessons learned and the way forward.

Get in touch with us today if you're interested in receiving your 50% discount on conference entry.
