The next knowledge society forum meeting, to be held in Lyon on 4-6 April, will focus on co-creating smart cities.
As the emergence of collaborative and participatory approaches to the smart city concept brings another concept – that of 'smart societies' – to the fore, the need also arises for new policy and funding frameworks to help cities invent, plan, operate, and finance the related services
Participants will be introduced to different co-creation models and specific urban lab examples, where collaborative cities innovate and develop new ideas, products, and services.
During the two-day session we will continue our discussion on the implementation of our internal strategy (work on the matrix), and our working groups will address standards, interoperability, data, and access to new technologies.
Participants will also receive free admission to SidO, the largest event for players in Internet of Things in France, which will take place simultaneously with the KSF meeting.
The speakers will provide updates on the Urban Agenda for the EU partnership on digital transition, which held its inaugural meeting in the middle of February in Oulu.
