The winners of the EUROCITIES Awards 2019 have been announced at a ceremony in Prague.

The winners were awarded in three permanent categories – cooperation, innovation and participation - linked to this year’s theme, ‘cities at a crossroads’. This reflects the new political landscape at EU level, as well as the changing landscapes in our own cities. The winning projects are:

Nine cities were shortlisted for the awards across the three categories: for ‘cooperation’ Antwerp, Dresden and Munich; for ‘innovation’ Bristol, Munich and Strasbourg; and for ‘participation’ Izmir, Rennes and Zaragoza.

The shortlisted cities were asked to send a short video about their projects, which you can find here.

The winners were selected by an independent jury, comprising a representative from the host city, academia, EU institutions, the media and the third sector. The list of jury members can be found here.
