EUCANET is looking for information on ongoing projects, experiences, practices and/or policies related to citizenship, inclusion, involvement and empowerment of communities through the urban transformation process. The deadline for the call for papers is 30 March 2018.
What is EUCANET?
EUCANET is the European Agencies Network for citizenship, inclusion, involvement and empowerment of communities through the urban transformation process. EUCANET is co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union and involves five partners: Urban Center Metropolitano Torino and Urban Center Bologna from Italy, City of Marseille from France, city of Skopje from Macedonia and Cluj Metropolitan Area Intercommunity Development Association from Romania.
What is the call about?
EUCANET is launching this call for papers to structure and establish a wider discussion on the role of cities and city agencies in shaping the EU Urban Agenda. The call fis aimed at local authorities, institutions, profit and no-profit organizations interested in showing how they practically work on the urban field, and committ to enlarge civic participation to the urban spatial processes.
Why answering the call?
The call aims to collect papers from all over Europe, from researchers, city makers, practitioners, etc. to explore the different roles and influences that organizations like the Urban Center Metropolitano can play in reaching the EU Urban Agenda goals. The selected papers will be published on one of the E-books that the EUCANET project will issue, and some of them will be invited to the EUCANET final conference in Torino on 5-6 December 2018.
