The Committee of the Regions has launched the call for the 2019 edition of the European Entrepreneurial Region – EER award.
The EER is a label awarded by the European Committee of the Regions each year to up to three cities or regions with outstanding, future-oriented strategies to support SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups.
The EER award’s purpose is to give recognition and visibility to local entrepreneurial strategy and concrete projects. It helps to reach out to entrepreneurial ecosystem stakeholders and give a boost to the ecosystem’s maturation.
The award is open not only to regions in the narrow sense, but also to cities: Lisbon and Glasgow won the prize respectively in 2015 and 2016.
Cities that are ready to implement a future-oriented entrepreneurial strategy are invited to apply by 17 April 2018 by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
