The European Union funding programme LIFE has recently published the 2018 calls for project proposal. This year around 400 millions is now available for projects on nature conservation and climate mitigation and adaptation.
A streamlined application process, for the environment calls under the “traditional projects” has also been introduced, to facilitate access to LIFE funds.
During this webinar Bernd Decker, from EASME, the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and Jelena Milos, from the European Commission Directorate for Climate, will present the calls and lessons learnt from the previous round of applications on how to develop a successful project proposal.
Particular focus will be given to the call for proposals dedicated to the climate component of LIFE.

  • Anja De Cunto, Covenant of Mayors. Welcome and introduction
  • Bernd Decker, EASME, presentation of the calls and lesson learnt
  • Jelena Milos, DG CLIMA, successful climate adaptation projects
  • Birgitte Karnøe Frederiksen, presentation of Coast to Coast Climate Challenge, a successful LIFE integrated project on climate adaptation
  • Questions and answers
