Until the 15 June 2018 local authorities can take part in the consultation on the EU Forestry Strategy.
The consultation is undertaken as part of a study commissioned by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) to Progress Consulting S.r.l., with Fondazione FORMIT participating as subcontractor. This consultation on the EU Forest Strategy (COM(2013)659 final ‘A new EU Forest Strategy: for forests and the forest-based sector’) is addressed to public local and regional authorities, or their groupings, owning and/or managing forests in the EU.
The main objective of the consultation is to collect local and regional authorities’ opinions and experience with regard to implementation and impact aspects of the EU Forest Strategy as well as expectations for its future. Results will feed into the CoR’s contribution to the upcoming mid-term review of the strategy, expected in the second half of 2018.
The consultation is in the form of an online questionnaire including 17 questions and structured in three sections. The questionnaire is available in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. It takes about 15 minutes to reply to the questions.
This consultation remains open up to 15 June 2018.
