Rennes - hotel of projects

Rennes has put citizen empowerment and experimentation at the heart of a project to find a new purpose for a former science faculty building. The resulting ‘hotel of projects’ welcomes diverse temporary initiatives reflecting the immediate needs of a community in motion, establishing a new kind of inclusive creative and learning space.

Zaragoza - Harinera culture centre

Zaragoza has established the first public cultural centre in Spain co-managed by the city and citizens. Started as an experimental project to provide equality of access to culture, Harinera ZGZ has become a successful, sustainable space dedicated to participation, empowerment and transformation of the neighbourhood through creativity.

Data people cities - EUROCITIES citizen data principles in action

We have selected 10 projects from different cities that are good examples to illustrate each of our 10 principles on citizen data. We want to show how local governments are fully engaged in exploiting the opportunities of the digital transformation in many different policy areas to benefit citizens, and we hope these examples will inspire other cities to do the same.
