The EUROCITIES Working Group Urban Ageing met on 23 and 24 October in Gothenburg. It gathered 11 cities to discuss transport, accessibility and technology for elderly. The Chair of the WG “Barrier-free city for all”, Barbara Berninger from the city of Berlin, took part and brought a transversal dimension to the meeting, with a view and knowledge from the EUROCITIES mobility forum.

On 11 October, the Committee of the Regions organised a workshop to assess the potential impact of the Commission's work-life balance package on the EU’s cities and regions. EUROCITIES took part in this workshop together with two city representatives from Vienna and Malmo.
