WG Urban Ageing in Gothenburg

EUROCITIES Culture Forum in Ghent - 25-27 October 2017

The next EUROCITIES Culture Forum will take place in Ghent from 25-27 October 2017, with many of the events taking place in the city's new and innovative library De Krook. EUROCITIES calls for a stronger role for cities in future EU youth policy

On 3-4 May, EUROCITIES took part in the European Commission’s conference on the future EU Youth Strategy and its priorities. This conference gathered over 200 participants and took place during the European Youth Week. During the week of 1-7 May, hundreds of events took place across Europe to inform young people about the opportunities offered to them to learn and volunteer abroad through EU programmes such as Erasmus+ and the newly launched European Solidarity Corps.

Practical recommendations for cultural governance and partnerships in cities

From 29 March to 1 April 2017, the EUROCITIES culture forum in Tallinn brought together EUROCITIES representatives from cities across Europe to discuss urban cultural policy, the cultural challenges cities face and innovative ways that cities from across the continent find to overcome them. These practical recommendations are a result of the many discussions and presentations in Tallinn, which brought together the knowledge and experience of our member cities.
