SMARTER IS CLEANER — LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE SCC1 SMART CITY PROJECTS ON GRIDS, STORAGE AND PROSUMER MODELS

Piero Pelizzaro, Project manager of the city of Milan, which is a Lighthouse city in the Sharing Cities programme, will take part to the session and discuss on the topic “Smart city lab and civic crowd funding”.

EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK and CIVITAS STAND

EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK and CIVITAS 2020 are EUSEW strategic partners and will run a stand from 20 to 22 June.

The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK campaign (16-22 September 2017) provides the perfect opportunity to present sustainable mobility alternatives to local residents and to explain the challenges that towns and cities are facing in order to induce behavioural change and make progress towards creating a more sustainable transport strategy for Europe.

CIVITAS is a network of cities working together for cleaner and better transport in Europe and beyond. Since it was launched by the European Commission in 2002, the CIVITAS Initiative has tested and implemented over 800 measures and urban transport solutions as part of demonstration projects in more than 80 Living Lab cities Europe-wide.

 

COVENANT OF MAYORS FOR CLIMATE AND ENERGY STAND

The Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy is EUSEW strategic partner and will run a stand from 20 to 22 June. 

The Covenant of Mayors brings together local and regional authorities voluntarily committing to implementing the Eu’s climate and energy objectives on their territory.

GREEN DIGITAL CHARTER STAND – DIGITAL SOLUTIONS TO SAVE ENERGY IN SMART CITIES

From 09:00 to 12:30

Already today, the ICT sector represents 4% of Europe’s carbon footprint. For this 2017 edition of EUSEW, the Green Digital Charter will raise awareness on the energy consumed by the digital devices most commonly used. Our interactive board will introduce projects and initiatives implemented by Green Digital Charter signatory cities to build sustainable and energy-efficient cities.
