The EUROCITIES Culture Forum will be meeting in Tallinn, Estonia from 29 March until 1 April 2017, working on the theme of ‘Innovative Models for Cultural Governance and Partnerships in Cities.’ This links to the challenges identified in EUROCITIES’ overall culture strategy, in particular the governance and networking challenge. The Tallinn Culture Forum will be a chance for cities across Europe to think innovatively about how to address these challenges and design policy, strategies, models and partnerships to boost cities’ cultural ecosystems. A call for information will be sent out alongside the invites to the event, allowing cities to shape the content with their own examples and challenges – cities should therefore answer the call for information and make their voices heard. All 5 working groups of the culture forum will meet alongside the Tallinn forum, including our new working group on public art.
The objectives and expected outcomes of the forum are:
Share examples of innovative strategies in developing cultural and creative sectors through strengthening partnerships and streamlining policy-making processes
Focus on impacts and transferability to other cities and discuss partnerships and cooperation between cities
Develop concrete tools and recommendations for implementation of innovative models for cultural governance and partnerships
Members will find the registration link above and the draft agenda and call for information below. Please register online by 24 February 2017.
