SEiSMiC (Science Engagement in Society – Mutual learning in Cities) has published the first edition of its Policy Watch reports, highlighting trends in urban social innovation at global, European and project levels. The report summarises the priority areas identified over SEiSMiC's first year by ten newly established country networks. These can be divided into three main categories: new modes of urban governance; the new economy, including the sharing economy; and new ways to manage public spaces and promote liveable cities.
