This project explores how cities and city based stakeholders produce innovative solutions to common social challenges in ten countries. This publication is the first scoping paper of the project.
With increasing attention to the key role that social innovation plays in tacking urban challenges, SEiSMiC has published a guide on what the EU is doing to help.
As a main output of the SEiSMiC project, a "scoping paper" has been published covering EU policies and key stakeholders concerned with urban development and social innovation.
This paper contains three parts, each on a key dimension of SEiSMiC. The parts can be read separately or together depending on the reader's interests:
Part 1: EU institutions in relation to urban issues
Part 2: EU policies and urban development in Europe
Part 3: Urban development and social innovation in the SEISMIC countries.
