EUROCITIES statement on Building a European data economy

In our ‘building a data economy’ statement we support the free movement of data and stand for common and stronger EU regulations and frameworks on security and protection of non-personal data as well as access to and re-use of data from public spaces. We also called for the development and implementation of common EU standards and the interoperability of systems which are at the basis of a secure and efficient smart city market.
