The Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (RFSD) follows up on and reviews the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the UNECE region. Focusing on practical value-added and peer learning, it creates a regional space to share policy solutions, best practices and challenges in SDG implementation and helps identify major regional and subregional trends.
The forum will start with a high-level policy discussion on 'Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies in the UNECE Region'. The panel discussion will be followed by two roundtables focusing on SDG 11, which will explore challenges and opportunities of financing the transition to sustainable cities and communities. The roundtables will also explore how intersectoral cooperation and evidence-based policies promote resilient and sustainable human settlements. The end of the discussions will tackle ways to develop integrated policy-making and interlinkages between SDGs. Find here the concept notes for roundtable 1 and roundtable 2.
